On October, 2nd the 7th ANECORM prize was awarded to a research project in Pamplona, coinciding with the closure of the IX ANECORM Congress that was held in this city. With this award, whose jury is made up of professionals who are experts in research and health products, the ANECORM (National Association of Nursing Coordinator of Material Resources) aims to stimulate research related to the healthcare product, contributing to the development of innovation in this field and providing a benefit to the health system.
Among the 7 candidate projects that took part, the one presented by Industrial Augmented Reality in collaboration with professors&researchers from the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Public University of Navarra and professionals from the Hospital Complex of Navarra, was the winner. The multidisciplinary project, entitled “Design and evaluation of a prototype of augmented reality for the health product” aims to bring the augmented reality to the health product, with the ultimate goal of improving the safety of the hospitalized patient.
The authors of the project are Jon Navarlaz Zudaire, Ana Monreal Vidal and Miguel Ángel Llorente García, from Industrial Augmented Reality, Leticia San Martín Rodríguez and María Nelia Soto Ruiz, from the Faculty of Health Sciences of the UPNA and Jesús Hernández Palacio, Beatriz Schultz Pérez and Noelia Pico Revilla, from the Supplies Department of the CHN.
